Certification for squadron leaders

Squadron leaders are trained by the BRH and must pass a certification procedure (ZF 1 to ZF 3). The certification includes attending a total of three weekend seminars in which participants are taught in the required subjects.

Appropriate mission experience as a mission assistant and group leader are a requirement for admission to ZF2 and ZF3.

The conclusion of this training is a test, which is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. Thus, the Association is one of very few rescue dog organisations that trains and tests its forces to this extent.

Through regular training exercises with other organisations, squadrons are trained for collaboration with the police, fire department, emergency services and other relief organisations.
